Claude

The Nifty connector from the Claude directory is the recommended way to connect. It always picks up our latest tools. If a tool ever seems missing, see Troubleshooting below.

Add the Nifty connector (recommended)

Connect Nifty

Open the Nifty connector listing, or go to Customize → Connectors and search for Nifty. Select Connect to Claude, then sign in to your Nifty account.

Start a conversation

In a Claude conversation, select the + button, open Connectors, and turn on Nifty.

Troubleshooting

Missing a tool? New tools are released regularly, and Claude doesn't always pick them up on its own. First, make sure MCP server access is turned on under Settings → Experimental in Nifty. Then work through these steps in order:

1. Refresh the tools list. Open Claude connectors, find Nifty, select the ⋮ menu next to it, and choose Refresh tools list. Then start a new conversation.

2. Still missing? From the same ⋮ menu, disconnect the connector, then connect it again.

3. Still missing? Add a custom connector. It talks to our server directly, so it always has the latest tools.

A tool shows up but doesn't work? If a tool appears but fails (for example with "Tool not found"), Claude is using an outdated tool list from before our last update. Refresh the tools list, or disconnect and reconnect the connector, as described above. Then start a new conversation.

Add a custom connector

Use this if the Nifty connector is missing a tool even after a refresh, or if your workspace doesn't allow directory connectors. Custom connectors are available on every Claude plan, including Free, which is limited to one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner needs to enable connectors for the organisation first.

Add Nifty

Open Claude connectors, select the + button, and choose Add custom connector. Enter this server URL, then select Add:

Connect your account

Find Nifty.ai under Not connected, select Connect, and sign in to your Nifty account.

Start a conversation

In a Claude conversation, select the + button, open Connectors, and turn on Nifty.ai.

You can keep both versions installed, but turn on only one of them in a conversation.
