# Selling on Whatnot

Use this guide to understand what's currently supported on Whatnot in Nifty, how listing fields work, and which Whatnot workflows are not yet available.

### Connection methods

At this time, you must use the Chrome extension to connect to Whatnot. For step-by-step instructions, see [Connecting Whatnot](/connections/connecting-whatnot.md).

### Shipping profiles

To list on Whatnot through Nifty, you'll need a shipping profile set up on your Whatnot account. Nifty finds your profiles when you create or edit a listing—if you don't see a profile in the dropdown, create one in your [Whatnot seller settings](https://www.whatnot.com/dashboard/shipments/profiles).

### Listing fields

Whatnot has several unique listing options that don't exist on other platforms. Here's how they work in Nifty:

#### Sale type: Buy It Now vs Auction

Both listing types are fully supported, including configuration options for Sudden Death, Flash Sales, and Offers.

#### Shows

Shows are Whatnot's way to run live sales events. Nifty finds your upcoming scheduled shows in real-time, so you can add a listing to one or more show directly from Nifty. A show is required to be selected for **Auction** listings and **Buy It Now** + **Reserve For Live** toggled on. A regular Buy It Now listing added to shows will appear **in both your shows and the open marketplace**

If you don't have any shows scheduled yet, visit [your Whatnot shows dashboard](https://www.whatnot.com/dashboard/lives) to create one.

#### Condition

Whatnot has an optional condition field that is more specific than Nifty's top-level condition. **It is recommended that you fill out this field - listings without condition on Whatnot are marked at "low quality".** We are working on improving the mapping from condition fields in other marketplaces to Whatnot condition.

### Limitations

| Videos in listings      | Whatnot video upload is not currently supported through Nifty listing                                                                       |
