Creating and Editing Items
Use the Listing form to create and edit items in Nifty, then post them to multiple marketplaces from one place.
Where to find it
To add a new item, go to the Inventory Manager and click Add item (top right).
To edit an existing item, open the Item menu and click Edit item.

Important: Before you start listing with Nifty, you must create at least one listing directly on the marketplace. This ensures your seller account is set up correctly.
How it works
The Listing form is designed so you enter the shared information about your item first, and Nifty uses AI to handle most of the marketplace-specific details.
You choose the Marketplaces where you want to list the item.
You add Photos and video that will be reused across those marketplaces.
You fill in the Item overview (title, description, price, condition, etc.).
You complete the Item details (category, brand, size, colors, style tags).
Nifty’s AI uses your overview and details to prefill the Marketplace details section for each selected marketplace.
You review and adjust Marketplace details, then publish when you’re ready.
To speed up listing even further, you can use Similar listings, Create from…, and Shipping presets. See Listing Shortcuts for details.
Form sections
Marketplaces
Where you want to list this item
Photos and video
Up to 24 images and 1 video (order matters — first photo is the cover)
Item overview
Shared information for the item: title, description, condition, price, quantity, cost of goods, and SKU
Item details
General details that tend to apply to all marketplaces: category, brand, size, colors, and style tags. Nifty uses these fields to power AI mapping into marketplace-specific details
Nifty details
A place for Nifty-only information, such as Private Notes, Inventory Labels, and a Shipping Preset
Marketplace photos
Each marketplace allows a different number of photos; you can customize which photos each marketplace uses. See Photo Editing and Management for details
Marketplace details
Marketplace-specific fields that Nifty pre-fills using AI based on your item overview and details (for example, mapping your general category and brand into each marketplace’s category)
Saving and publishing
There are two options at the bottom of the page:
Save draft (requires one photo): Saves your work as a draft that you can return to later.
List item (requires complete form): Publishes a listing to each selected marketplace and links them to the same item row in your Inventory Manager.
eBay-specific fields
Condition description
For eBay listings, you can add extra details about the item's condition. Click Add condition description below the Condition field.

Item specifics
eBay organizes item specifics into three categories: required, recommended, and additional. To streamline the listing process, Nifty shows the required and recommended fields by default.
To show additional item specifics, click Show all fields at the top right of the Item Specifics section.

Depop-specific fields
Title, description, and hashtags
Depop only has a Description field — there's no separate Title or Tags like other marketplaces. When creating a listing through Nifty, we construct the Description using all three fields in the Listing form:
We do it this way because the first few words on Depop are most important for search (SEO) — the same consideration you'd make when writing your title.
Important: Depop only allows 5 hashtags per listing. If you include a hashtag directly in your title/description and 5 hashtags in the Listing Form, the listing will be rejected.
Limitations
Different titles per marketplace
Not available when creating. Workaround: create the listing on some marketplaces, then crosslist to others where you can customize
Different descriptions per marketplace
Not available when creating. Use the same workaround as above
Create multi-variant listings
Items with multiple variants (multiple sizes, colors, etc.) cannot be created or edited via Nifty. If you'd like, you can split the item into multiple listings (multi-quantity is fine) and manage it that way.
eBay Motors
We can import eBay Motors listings, but you won't be able to create new ones or choose the right category when editing them.
Trading cards (eBay)
We can import eBay trading card listings, but you won't be able to create new eBay trading card listings through Nifty.
Phones (Mercari)
We can import Mercari phone listings, but you won't be able to create new phone listings on Mercari through Nifty.
